I am Sazia, a surface pattern designer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I grew up in a family where everybody loved art and crafts. My mother used to make exquisitely gorgeous hand-embroidered dresses for us sisters, which we could never replicate. Even today, my sisters and I exchange handmade cards as birthday gifts. Although I studied in a completely different field (Environmental Management and Climate Change), I started working as a freelancer due to a turn of events. I learned WordPress theme customization, graphic design, and video editing. During this time, I developed a strong passion for creating patterns. While I appreciate traditional art, I am more comfortable with digital art. I mainly design abstract and floral patterns, but I also explore other themes. Everything around me inspires my pattern creation. Most of my designs are colorful, but I enjoy working with different tones of colors.
